On the June 4th weekend, Selkirk, Manitoba was the setting for the Henry Shingoose Traditional Pow Wow and it took a little more work than usual this year. Because of the wet weather and flooding in the province, pumps had to be brought in to clear the field. The effort was a success and everything went as planned. Even the weather cooperated.
Drum groups, dancing, and a traditional feast were some of the highlights. Everyone had a good time, especially some of the younger participants.
